Mighty morphin power rangers: The pink ranger’s brief background
Among the original five, Kimberly Hart was one of the lucky few chosen by Zordon to help protect Earth from the repulsive Rita Repulsa. Kimberly morphed into the Pink Power Ranger with the Pterodactyl Power Coin and the Pterodactyl Dinozord that she was given. So from you typical blond hair valley girl, not only did she morph into her alter ego but she her attitude took a great turn as well. Through experience and time, this gymnast becomes a sweeter and kinder person all together.
Although all her training in gymnastics served her well during combat, she still had a yearning to compete in a different way, the Pan Global Games. When she finally gives up her duties as the Pink Ranger, she gives her Power coin to Katherine Hillard, her enemy turned friend once Rita’s spell was broken.
Katherine Hillard, or Kat, started out as a spy for Rita. Throughout the show, she did a lot of bad things towards the rangers, especially Kimberly, even to the point of stealing her Power Coin. But when Kimberly falls, not only her leg broken, or is thought to be, but so is Rita’s spell as Kat feels guilty and responsible for the injury.
