Power Rangers Costume

They inhabit a world that is facing a battle for survival against the sentient computer virus Venjix and the humanoid like robots that it controls and Tenaya 7. The costume itself is taken from the last series of the Power Rangers and differs slightly from previous  seasons.

In fact, all these power rangers costumes are effectively the same except for the color of the jumpsuit, the front logo that hints at the character of the individual ranger and of course the mask. The mask is slightly different for each ranger. In the case of the black ranger it seems to have ears unlike some of the other masks. The logo on the front of the jumpsuit is that of a lion, so that might explain the ears. It is also the number 5 which is the Black Rangers number or call sign. The mask isn’t a full face mask but attached with a band around the back of the head.

Like all the other costumes, this also has a yellow belt with buckle (same logo or emblem on the buckle). The top half of the jumpsuit also has the muscle look to it. This is effectively padding at the front and around the shoulder to make the wearer look buffed and muscly…just like the real thing. Arm cuffs come with the costume too.

Here’s a bit of background on the Black Ranger so that you can really get into the character next time you dress up. The Black Ranger is Dillon. He is essentially an outcast at the beginning of RPM. He is wandering outside Corinth city and appears to have no knowledge of who he is or what he is doing there.

When he enters the city of Corinth, it is found that he has some virus in his body from Venjix. Strangely enough this makes him an ideal candidate to become the Black ranger because it gives him powers that ordinary humans don’t have.

He has close connections with the villains of the series as his long lost sister in Tenaya 7. This connection is sometimes used to aide the Power Rangers and sometimes puts them and the fate of Corinth City in grave danger.

The Black ranger has an invincibility shield special power and his weapon of choice is the Rocket Blaster.

This would make a fine costume for your child for trick or treating around the neighborhood on Halloween night or simply for dressing up and playing Power Rangers when his/her buddies come round.
